Country Round Up
by Gary Turner

As temperatures soared to record heights in Victoria last Saturday, fires spread through Kinglake, which resulted in the cancellation of the Whittlesea Country Music Festival.
The annual festival was cancelled Saturday afternoon as bushfires ravaged the area.
We believe that some people involved in the Whittlesea Festival have lost family members in the blaze.
Travis Sinclair has family who have lost their homes. Peter Denahy was under threat in his hometown of Yackandandah.
Sinclair was deeply upset at the events leading up to the fires and has vowed to help the people of Whittlesea and Kinglake rebuild with an offer to stage a country music concert to raise funds.
I have offered my services to host the concert and hope that other members of the country music fraternity will assist.
The McClymonts, Sinclair and other artists spent Saturday night in a Mill Park motel while Adam Harvey headed to his parents home in Geelong.
This has devastated us all and our thoughts are with the families who have suffered great losses.

The Red Cross, State and Commonwealth Governments have set up a bushfire appeal on
1800 811 700 or at any Australia Post outlet.
