The Hot Country Launch festivities were a huge success, kicking off from 9am the team at Hot Country partied with listeners well into the night.

Special mention goes to the incredibly talented Nick Aitken who took home the Star Search Talent Show grand prize of $500 courtesy of Musicians Oasis Kingaroy. We're certain big things are on the horizon for the local kingaroy musician.

Rodeo photographer and author of book Rodeo Downunder Jenny Dyer wrote the lyrics to the track while driving home from a rodeo, handing them over to the talented Glen Albrecht to put to music.

Axe Mark On A Gidgee Charlie Boyter
Axe Mark On A Gidgee (Kross Kutt) is a new album from Penrith Picker Charley Boyter. The new album features a great variety of instrumentals, singing and duets.
The title track Axe Mark On A Gidgee features a special introduction by the late and great Slim Dusty, recorded during Charley's many years of touring with Slim.
In 1993 Charley was a recipient of the Hands of Fame at Tamworth. His awards include Tasmanian and New Zealand Instrumental of the Year, NSW Gold Medallion and many more.
Charley was the longest serving guitarist in Slim Dusty's band. He also recorded albums with Lindsay Butler, Smokey Dawson, Barry Thornton and Lee Kernaghan.

The country star is raising his baby with wife Nicole Kidman in Nashville, telling Ellen Degeneres she might just say "G'day Y'all" which could be "a nice mix". Keith went on to say the name Sunday was special to him because it used to represent the loneliest day of the week, however that all changed after meeting his wife Nicole. Sundays went from being his "most dreaded day" to the "most joyous"
