2010 GOLDEN SADDLE AWARDS FINALISTS

This years Top 5 Independent Artists from the east coast of Australia, as judged by a panel of 12 industry proffessionals are: The Bostocks, Johanna Hemara, Steve Passfield, Tori Darke and Tracy Killeen. Johanna, Steve, Tori and Tracy were on hand for the announcement at Rooty Hill RSL which was made on Thursday night during a concert featuring 2009 winners Lianna Rose & Luke O'Shea.

CMA NOMINEES STEEL MAGNOLIA LEAP TO TOP 30 WITH NEW SINGLE

Country music’s hottest newcomers Steel Magnolia earned their 5th major music awards show nomination of 2010 yesterday morning. The duo, who was surprised with their very first CMA Award nomination during the national press conference at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, were honoured with a 2010 CMA “Vocal Duo of the Year” nomination.

PETER McWHIRTER SET TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM 'LUCKY AS A SE7EN'

Peter McWhirter was barely out of his teens when he penned the opening track of this debut album 'Lucky As A Seven' and debut single 'Humm' which raced straight to the top of the country music video charts. The album is released on September 10th.

THE AUDREYS RELEASE NEW SINGLE 'TROUBLES SOMEHOW'

Troubles Somehow` is the first single taken from the The Audreys new album `Sometimes the Stars`. Almost all of the guest musicians from the album sessions contributed to this track, which made mixing it a hell of a task. Taasha and Tristan loved setting this dark lyric (about having enough misery to get filthy rich by selling it) to such lively music.
