2010 Off To A Flying Start For Lianna Rose

If you thought 2009 was a huge year for Lianna Rose - 2010 looks set to be even bigger for the rising star on the Country Music radar.

January kicks off what is sure to be an exciting year with the 2010 Tamworth Country Music Festival. Besides a host of live shows and appearances around Country Music Capital - Lianna has also scored three finalist berths in the 2010 Country Music Awards of Australia. On the night she will be vying for Female Artist, New Talent and Video Clip of The Year. "As a songwriter words generally come easy, but to be a finalist for the Golden Guitars - I have been stumped!" says Lianna. "I'm absolutely honoured and will treasure this moment for the rest of my life". Winners will be announced at the gala presentation on Saturday 23rd January at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre.

To celebrate the new year, Lianna has revised her "Soak Up The World" album with brand new artwork and a special remix of her song "Sugar On It" by Shania Twain band member, Randall Waller. "After a chance meeting at a fundraising event in Sydney, Randall instantly took an interest in my music and offered to remix one of the tracks just for fun. It's a unique twist on the song and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to share it with my fans. It's funky and fun!".

Lianna's brand new single, "Angels", has also just impacted radio and the early vibe is that it's her best single yet! Adam Brand is a huge fan of this song - so much so -that he cut it on his album, "Blame it on Eve". "Brandy heard the song and absolutely loved it. It was such a thrill to not only have him tell me he loved a song that I wrote but I'm sure you can imagine my response when he said he wanted to record it and did!!", laughed Lianna.
