Rick Caballo Music News Update
Since all the excitement of the Tamworth Country Music Festival and Toyota Star Maker has died down, Ricko has been busy with gigs and organising his next big trip Overseas. He'll be heading off very soon to USA for a few months then Canada and onto Europe which will keep him out of the country til the end of the year. The itinerary and gigs are still in the process of being confirmed so we will keep you up to date on which areas he'll be visiting. One thing for sure...he will definitely be in Nashville for the CMA Music Festival/Fanfare in June.
Hopefully you've checked out the amazing portrait of Ricko painted by Far North QLD artist Amanda Feher. Please see attached. Obviously a photograph doesnt do it real justice...up close and personal the portrait is truly incredible...and HUGE! This week it was submitted for the Archibald Prize (Australia's most famous art competition for portraiture) The finalists will be announced shortly. We wish Amanda (and Rick) all the best as for an artist to win the Archibald Prize is the same as a musician winning a Grammy or athlete winning Olympic Gold. Fingers crossed!
Black Jezebel Road – the second single from the album Love Retaliation has now officially been released and the video clip for Black Jezebel Road will receive it’s first official airplay on Saturday 20th March on Channel 10’s new music video show LANDED MUSIC, which airs from 12pm straight after Video Hits. It will also soon be seen on CMC.
Meanwhile you can catch Ricko live next Saturday 13th March in NSW for Three in a Row…three gigs that is! For the first time he appears at Central Coast Country Music Festival at The Entrance NSW. He'll be on the Sail Stage at 1pm…then heads a bit further north to Catherine Hill Bay Hotel for a 3pm start (with Kamakaze Kowboys) After that, Ricko heads back south to Beaches at Thirroul for a 9pm show with his old band the Pootickets. This Saturday is definitely going to be a big day out for Rick Caballo.
