GRACE POTTER || CMA PERFORMERS ANNOUNCED

More performers have been announced for the upcoming Country Music Association Awards. Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter will sing their song "You and Tequila." And Natasha Bedingfield will join Rascal Flatts to perform duet, "Easy." Previously announced performers include Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban. CMA hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will perform "Remind Me." The CMA Awards are November 9 in Nashville. They'll air on ABC.

SCOTT MCCREERY || 'I LOVE YOU THIS BIG' GOES GOLD

Scotty McCreery's first single has gone gold -- meaning it has sold more than a half million copies. We first heard him sing "I Love You This Big" in May, when he was on "American Idol." It's the first single from his debut album, "Clear as Day." McCreery was presented with a gold record at his album release concert, which also doubled as an 18th birthday celebration. About 15,000 people were at the event over the weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina.

This is a great year to be Scotty McCreery. He wins "American Idol" and now his first album makes its debut at number one on the album chart. McCreery is the youngest guy ever to reach the top of the all-genre Billboard 200. First-week sales for "Clear as Day" are at about 197,000 albums. This is the highest first-week album sales figure of any solo country artist this year.

RODNEY ATKINS || EMOTION OF MEETING BIRTH MOTHER

A lot has happened with Rodney Atkins in the three years between his new album, "Take a Back Road" and his last one. Probably the biggest thing during that time: he met his birth mother. Atkins, now 42, says his mother had gotten pregnant on a traumatic first date. She managed to hide it and Atkins was adopted as an infant. He says when he finally met his birth mother he realized it was "such a relief" for her -- because she had been "wondering what happened" to the child she gave up for adoption. He says his birth mom is "a wonderful, beautiful lady."

KEITH URBAN || 'ALL FOR THE HALL' FUNDRAISER EVENT

Keith Urban is "All for the Hall" again. This time the concert to raise money for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will be Wednesday, January 18 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Urban will be joined by Vince Gill, Alison Kraus and Union Station, Little Big Town and the Oak Ridge Boys. More performers are expected to join them.
